MedWand Exam Types

There are three MedWand appointment types that can be scheduled for exams.


Patient Exam - an exam appointment where no healthcare professional will be involved, and the patient is expected to use the MedWand device to collect vitals by themselves. The results are uploaded to the clinician's KIOSK portal at the conclusion of the exam for review at a later time.


OnSite Exam - an exam appointment where an onsite healthcare professional or assistant will use the MedWand device to collect vitals from the patient. If needed, an invite button is available to convert the exam to a full audio-video telemedicine visit so that a remote clinician can be brought in to review the collected vitals or perform live auscultation. 


Remote Exam - an exam appointment where a clinician or authorized healthcare professional will perform a remote audio-video telemedicine session with the patient and will supervise the use of the MedWand device to collect vitals from the patient.
