provided to you by your clinical care team.

To begin confirm the information
on screen is correct before continuing.
This demonstrates one common method to start an exam.
Your clinical care team may use an alternative method,
which they will inform you of directly.
Once in the exam room, you will use the onscreen
Buttons to operate each medwand sensor.
You can select a sensor using the shortcuts
Up top or by selecting the sensors button.
Here we see a list of all sensors contained in the medwand,
as well as other sensors you may need to use
as part of your exam.
The medwand thermometer is a small hole located on the
bottom of the medwand.
The green line will help you get the med
wand in the right position.
Hold the medwand up pointing the thermometer directly at
the center of your forehead,
one inch from the surface of the skin.
It is very important to ensure the green line is
above your eyebrows.
If you're holding it correctly, you should not be able
to see the green line.
We want the thermometer pointed at the forehead,
not the eyes or nose.
When you're ready, select start,
which will begin a ten second countdown.
While you take your temperature while taking your
temperature, wave the medwand across the entire forehead
from temple to temple. Twice.
Once finished, you should see your temperature displayed
on screen indicating that it has been captured.
If you don't try again,
The medwand pulse oximeter sensor is located on the
top of the medwand.
Using the pulse oximeter,
you can record your blood oxygen saturation, also known
as SP O2 value and your pulse rate.
Place the index finger over the pulse oximeter sensor.
Cover the entire sensor with your fingertip
and keep your finger as still as possible.
Select start pulse oximeter.
To begin recording your SP O2
and pulse rate, keep your finger on the sensor
until the timer at the bottom of the screen reaches zero.
If your fingertip is not properly aligned,
the medwand application will report finger not detected.
The recording will automatically stop after 60 seconds
and the display will show your readings.
If you fail to get a reading,
warm your fingers under warm water
or by rubbing them together
and try again as cold hands can make
it difficult to get a reading.
The The medwand stethoscope is a gray disc
located at the bottom of the medwand between the ECG pads.
Using the stethoscope, you can record sounds of your heart,
lungs, and abdomen for your doctor
to listen to and interpret.
Volume controls at the bottom will allow you
to adjust loudness.
Wearing headphones is important to properly hear the sounds
as you conduct your exam.
Onscreen diagrams will show you the proper locations
to place the stethoscope place on bare skin if possible.
At each location, place the stethoscope against the
body and hold still.
Start with position one.
Once in position, press record
and remain in this position
until the countdown at the bottom of the screen reaches zero
indicating that the recording has finished.
Move on to position two
and repeat until all the positions have a full recording.
Move on to do the same with lungs, and then finally abdomen.
Once finished, you will need to turn the stethoscope off
before moving to the next sensor.
The medwand camera is located at the front of the device.
On the right side. Select Dermatoscope
to turn the camera on.
Insert the supplied clear ruler into the front
slot of the medwand.
Point the medwand camera at the location on your skin.
