In this video, we will cover the basics
of using the med wand kiosk portal to manage users as well
as how to create, facilitate, join,
and review exams to create and manage users.
We first log into the portal
with a manager access level account.
Then we navigate over to system users.
Here you will find a list
of all user accounts under your organization.
They will be categorized by role status, name,
email, and username.
There are tasks on the right, which we will come back to.
We can search the list for specific users up top using their
email or username.
We can create a new user with the create user button.
On the top right. We will be asked
to enter the user's information, including their first
and last name, username, email, password, and role.
There are three roles available.
Manager, clinician
and assistant managers have full access to the system
with the ability to conduct exams, schedule
and manage appointments and manage users.
Clinicians can conduct exams and schedule appointments
but are unable to manage Users.
Assistants are only able to schedule
and manage appointments.
Once their account is created, they will appear in the list
and have immediate access.
You can view deactivated accounts using the
switch on the top left.
Managers can manage accounts with the buttons on the right.
The first allows them
to edit basic account information and roles.
The second allows them to change someone's password if
needed, and the last deactivate an account,
which can be reactivated later if need be.
Next to create
and manage appointments, we will navigate
to the appointments tab.
Here you will see a list of all created appointments
that are yet to be completed.
They're organized by code type, patient, clinician,
and date created.
On the right, you will see tasks which we will come back to.
They can be filtered using tools. Up top.
New appointments can be created in two places.
First on the homepage for convenience.
Second, under the appointments tab.
At the top right, we will be prompted
for appointment information,
including appointment type clinician
and an optional open field for patient id.
There are three appointment types.
Patient exams are intended for patients
to collect vitals on their own to upload for review.
Onsite exams are for in-person exams where
A clinician will Use the med
wand onsite with the patient,
Such as a nurse visiting a Home.
When conducting onsite exams, you'll have the option
to invite a clinician to join the session
and convert it to a remote exam at any time.
Remote exams are telemedicine sessions
that allow a remote clinician
to control the med wand over the internet.
Let's create an onsite exam.
Once we enter the information
and save, we will be greeted with the exam code,
which can be printed or copied to the clipboard if need be.
If we close this out,
we now see the appointment in the list.
If we head over to tasks
and press the first button, we will be greeted with
that screen again, the second button allows us
to edit exam information
and the trash can allows us to delete the exam.
For remote exams, you will notice two other buttons.
Join allows the remote clinician
to join a remote examination from the appointment list.
The clipboard will give you two options.
The first copies a link that can be sent to a clinician
who may not want to log into the portal
to join the exam directly.
The second is a guest link, which allows someone
to join the exam and observe.
This could be for a specialist
or guardians who want
to accompany the patient in the session.
It should be noted the join button is strictly
for remote exams
and is not how a clinician would join an invite
for an onsite session that is done from the home tab
by selecting, provide remote exam assistance
where they will enter the code given to them
by whomever is onsite.
Once an exam code is used
for security reasons, it will become locked.
If you back out of an active session before finishing
and try to rejoin using the same code, someone will need
to unlock it from the appointments tab first.
Finally, to review exam results, we will navigate
to the exam results tab.
On the left, we will be greeted with a list
of completed exams categorized by code, the exam type,
the patient and clinician name, date of exam, and duration.
They can be filtered using the tools up top.
If we look at the task buttons on the right,
the blue button will open a summary of the exam complete
with all collected vitals, media, and notes.
If we select the green button, we have the option
to download the whole exam summary as an HTML file
or if we select download as image files.
We have the ability to download individual media files if we
don't want the whole exam.
The exams will auto delete after some time,
but can also be erased with the trashcan icon.
Using these tools, you will now be able
to facilitate med wand exams, enabling you
to better administer clinical care anywhere.
