When conducting remote exams as a clinician through your web browser, there are several user interface and browser settings that can be adjusted to enhance your experience.
Browser Zoom
When conducting exams as a remote clinician through a web browser, the user interface will attempt to resize for best viewability on your screen. Depending on the display resolution and settings currently being used on your device, you may have to scroll to see certain buttons and interface elements. To correct this, you can make use of your browser's built-in zoom tool to shrink or expand the overall interface size. In the example below, you can see the "Save" button is completely cut off at the bottom of the screen, and the user would need to scroll in order to see it. We'll follow the instructions below to adjust our browser's zoom level, which will allow us to see the whole exam room without the need to scroll.

- Open your Chrome settings menu by selecting the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of your browser.
- Scroll down and select the + or - icons to the right of Zoom until all elements of the exam room can be seen comfortably.
*Alternatively, on most PC's you can press and hold the left CTRL button on your keyboard while moving your mouse wheel forward or backward to zoom in and out.
Dark Mode
Dark Mode is a feature that can be used for those with a sensitivity to high contrast pages or individuals conducting examinations in low light environments, such as a dark office. Dark Mode can be toggled on and off by selecting the Dark Mode switch in the top right corner of the Virtual Exam Room. Upon turning on Dark Mode, all white elements on the page will be switched to black or gray.

Adjusting Audio and Video Conference Settings
Upon joining a Remote exam through your web browser, you'll have the option of selecting Start Conference on the left side of your browser window. Selecting this button will initiate an audio and video session between you and the patient who's connected remotely via a tablet or phone running the VirtualCare App (The patient will also need to select Start Conference on their device to activate audio and video communication)
Below is an outline of all settings, menus, and controls for the audio-video conferencing
1. Headphones Icon - Left-clicking the headphones icon will allow you to mute or unmute the patient. Left-clicking the down arrow to the right of the icon will present a list of all available output devices. This menu can be used to change what device you're using to listen to exam room audio.
*While speakers are presented as an available option, it is strongly recommended to use headphones when using the MedWand Stethoscope, as most stock laptop and computer speakers do not have a low enough frequency response to accurately listen to live oscultation.
2. Microphone Icon - Left-clicking the microphone icon will allow you to mute or unmute your microphone. Left-clicking the down arrow to the right of the icon will present a list of all available input devices. This menu can be used to change what device or microphone you're using to transmit your voice to the patient.
3. Camera Icon - Left-clicking the camera icon will allow you to enable or disable your video feed. Left-clicking the down arrow to the right of the icon will present a list of all available webcam devices. This menu can be used to change which webcam is being used for your video feed (If you only have a single webcam, or your other webcams weren't able to be detected, this menu will not present any options for switching).
4. Full Screen Icon (square) - Left-clicking the full screen icon will toggle the video conferencing between full screen and embedded window modes. Switching to full screen can help you get a better view of the patient's camera feed at the expense of not being able to see the MedWand sensors and controls.
